At left, Andrew Rohrbach has been lighting up eastern south Dakota to the tune of 20 ppg while big-man, Jackson Becker is throwing down 14 per game while hauling in 7 plus boards per game.

As we head into the Holiday portion of the high school basketball season, you look up at the standings of Region 1B and David Rohrbach’s Aberdeen Christian Knights are 5-0, and looking like a team that has some serious Round-of-16 aspirations.
That 5-0 has some big wins in it.
59-39 over 3-1 Warner
76-57 over 2-1 James Valley Christian
57-46 over a good Leola/Frederick team led by Tanner Geffre.
67-31 over Sunshine Bible and 67-28 over Waverly-South Shore
Andrew Rohrbach, the 6-foot junior can flat out play!
20.3 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 5.5 dimes per game and 4 steals per game.
Couple of big guys, the Beckers doing some serious damage for this squad.
The 6-foot-4 ish guys combine to 26 and 14 to the cause.
6-foot-6 sophomore Brent Ekanger is coming along nicely with 6 ppg but he’s also a good passer from the post, second on the team in assists with 2.3 per game.
Juniors Holtey and Pearson both average over five per game and give coach Rohrback a little of everything as this team seems pretty capable.
We find out on Saturday as the Knights are penciled in to tangle with one-loss Irene/Wakonda @ Langford.
Win that one and everyone else in 1B, sans Jerome Nesheim’s CWL Cyclones will be looking up.
