Tea Area's Kaleb Joffer is the ultimate Role Player...

By Rich Winter

Well, it is official….the South Dakota sports writers threw up all over Tea Area by ranking the Titans as the top team in the Class A ranks of South Dakota. And rightfully so, the Chris Fechner squad has all everything first-team all-stater Noah Freidel back…His 25 points per game should go up a bit this year…

But, of course, Freidel cannot win it alone…and while Fechner has a large group of fellas back in the fold all I can think about is how much will senior Kaleb Joffer bring to the table that won’t show up in the stat sheets?

Alright, so was looking at the Tea Area roster this morning and off the page popped Kaleb Joffer…

One of the guys that really stood out at the 2018 Class A state tournament was this big fella from Tea Area named Joffer….TUFF, Physical presence in the paint….Aggressive, sets screens, get rebounds, grabs garbage points and occasionally catches people off balance with only the nimble feet that a 6-foot-3, 235 pound Class 11A, all-state offensive tackle can bring to the table.

I remember Joffer from the state tournament a year ago…First round game with Crow Creek, this big fella set the tone defensively….While he probably won’t have a 25 point outing this season, you can bet he’s going to be a huge impact player…

With the perfect attitude: A little nasty like Bill Laimbeer, enforcer…perfect!
