One of the teams in the Class A ranks to keep an eye on is Travis Aslesen’s Elk Point-Jefferson squad. The fellas open their season in a big Region 4A contest as they travel to take on Canton.

Now, what’s interesting is this might not be the year the Huskies get to state BUT, Aslesen is working with a solid group of kids that have ZERO seniors on the roster.

No seniors…WOW!!

One of the guys in particular, we will be keeping a close eye on is CENTER, Adam Grashoff…The big-fella worked with West Central coach Jake Sittig’s East River Sacred Hoops team.

Sacred Hoop Co-Director, Allan Bertram spoke highly of Grashoff very early in the summer…Kid has lost a ton of weight and really worked hard to become a better athlete and a better basketball player…

This is not a kid that is just big…

“He is such a great kid. Has absolutely worked his tail off to be the player that he is. Not just a big body - Has a nice soft shooting touch and really good footwork. He is poised to have a very nice season,” Allan Bertram, Sacred Hoops Co-Director said.
