A tough way to start the season for Brad Edenburn's Crow Creek Chieftains as they ran into a really good Todd County team in Friday's opener, 51-0. First off, Todd County has a good football team this year, we'll find out how good Friday when the Falcons battle No. 1 ranked 11A power Dakota Valley.

First quarter, Crow Creek got pinned deep in their own territory, had a few miscues and Todd County took advantage.

That said, the Chieftains showed some signs they are going to be a good football team.

Jayden McBride to Daniel Howe: WOW

During a preseason interview the coaches talked about a stiff defense....After getting out of the first quarter, the Chieftains started mucking things up and stuffing the run.

Thought coach Edenburn's comments were pretty classy after the loss:

Hard to feel good after a loss...but when the referee runs over to tell you that your team and coaches displayed good sportsmanship you get sense of pride that you don't get even when you win.
Be proud Crow Creek!!!
We go back to work Monday right after school. Monday thru Thursday 4-6 in preparation for Friday's game in McLaughlin at 7pm. Cetan Naphywe Gideon Saul
