Sacred Hoops players Nick Wittler and Connor Libis playing BIG down the stretch

Just wanted to give a little Monday morning shout-out to a pair of Sacred Hoops athletes, Nick Wittler and Connor Libis who were featured on Midco Sports for their recent efforts.

Sully Buttes:

Well, here we are entering the post-season and wouldn’t you know it, Sully Buttes heads to Region play with a 16-3 record and some monster playoff mojo with a 59-54 OT win @ Aberdeen Christian.

Sully Buttes, the No. 1 seed in the Region 2B playoffs awaits the winner of tonight’s play-in game between Sunshine Bible Academy and Edumunds Central.

Dell Rapid’s St. Mary’s:

Pete Schmit’s DRSM’s squad was impressive down the stretch, finishing by winning 7-of-8 games (only loss was to a 16-4 Arlington squad). In the midst of a chaotic stretch finish, the Cardinals somehow jumped Colman-Egan into the No. 2 seed in a crowded Region 4B race.

Schmidt’s crew awaits the winner of tonight’s play-in game between Chester Area and Oldham-Ramona/Rutland….

Great year for Mr. Libis, who as a sophomore broke 1500 points coming down the stretch…Again, as a sophomore he moved into the top-10 all time in South Dakota history for 3-pointers made.
