What it takes Wednesday: Looking for a big surge from the Chamberlain Cubs...

By Rich Winter

Looking at some of the Sacred Hoops Summer AAU rosters and noticed we’ve got some talent from Chamberlain coming up through the ranks. Coach Adam Nelson produced a 9-10 regular season record for the Cubs this season, but anyone in Region 6A that saw this team knows there are some heavy and big hitting sophomores coming up the ranks.

Sellyck McManus - 6-foot-4 FRESHMAN:

McManus is playing on the Sacred Hoops 15-U Aberdeen squad, coached by former Chamberlain head-man, Allan Bertram.

Cameron Caldwell - Chamberlain golfer/basketball player spending some time in Sioux Falls this summer:

Pretty excited to see what Caldwell does this summer. Caldwell is one of the best golfer/basketball players in South Dakota and will be playing on Allan Bertram’s East River 16-u squad.

What is handy about that for Caldwell is he spends a ton of time in Sioux Falls over the summer playing in summer golf leagues. He was 5th in the Class A state golf tournament a season ago.

This Sacred Hoops squad will have a solid summer.

Drayton Priebe - Only a sophomore…

While Priebe isn’t playing summer basketball with Sacred Hoops he plays everything else.

A standout on the Chamberlain basketball team, Drayton along with Caldwell and McManus will give Chamberlain an outstanding returning core that will have state tournament aspirations in 2020.
