As we head towards the summer AAU season, one of the big guys I’ll be keeping my eyes on is Kimball/White-Lake junior Justin Becker.

Listed at 6-foot-8 and 195 lbs. during his junior football campaign, one of Sacred Hoops’ best big man prospects had a heck of a year for Dale Taylor’s KWL Wildkats, who reached the 9AA championship game before falling to Bon Homme. A gigantic target at end, Becker is TUFFER than you might expect, and someone who really started getting after opposing QB’s with his pass rushing abilities late in the season.

Becker and his KWL guys finished the basketball season with a 17-5 record, losing to Corsica-Stickney, just before the Round-of-16.

Before Becker heads off to mix it up with his teammates on Jacob Sittig’s East-River, 17-U squad, he’s got more events he’s trying to master.

Shot put & Discus: Becker had a serious PR in the shot this week to qualify for the state track meet!
